Intuit is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for TurboTax product on Windows. In this position you will work closely with other software engineers and architects, quality assurance staff, other product development staff, project managers and product management to develop functionality for TurboTax on Windows product.
You will be doing software development (requirements gathering, implementation, testing), in addition to providing technical leadership within Tax Engineering. You are also expected to present technical topics to wider audience and learn and keep pace with Microsoft eco-system. Your creative thinkging and innovative solutions, are highly valued.
You will lead cross-functional initiative teams, mentor team members, arbitrate technical debates within your project. You will monitor work done within your project to ensure compliance with high level requirements, architectural context and designs. You will need to effectively collaborate with and influence other engineers, architects, and managers to solve complex problems spanning multiple projects.
BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
Proven experience:
- Creating, maintaining or enhancing a large scale software product or service in multiple software environments / architectures
- Delivering software products and services
- 5+ years of programming experience in object oriented languages
- Demonstrable experience in SOA and connected services
- Expert in .NET/C#, WPF
- Experience with Java, C++ and MFC is desirable, but not mandatory
- Well versed with rest of the Microsoft Eco-system, such as Silverlight, Azure, Windows Mobile, Mesh
- Well versed and experienced in a variety of design patterns
- Experience with unit test frameworks, such as nunit
- Design experience with UML
- Evolving a mature code base into new technologies
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and practices
- Ability to research, identify, and integrate 3rd party solutions
- Desire to work in Agile/SCRUM development environment
